You Can Never Know the Chaos of a Life Turned on it's Head

Retire. Adam knew that word was going to come up at some point, especially after his neck injury, but not now. He sat down on the bed and thought back on all the things he'd hidden from Jay in recent months. All the pain he'd been experiencing, the numbness in his arms that came and went, he'd hidden it all from the younger man, not wanting him to worry. Most people though Adam was Jay's protector, but in most cases, it was the reverse, Jay had gotten Adam through the worst parts of his life. "He's not gonna want me now....." sighed Adam softly. "I'm broken, useless...."

"Addy?" Jay questioned softly as he walked into the room, Adam had not been himself the last few weeks and it was worrying Jay a lot.

Adam forced a smile. "Hey baby."

"You ok Addy?" Jay asked softly.

Adam bit his lip. "Jay, we need to talk."

"About what Addy?" Jay asked worriedly.

Adam's gaze darted around the room, to anywhere but Jay. "I don't think this is working, I think it's time we see other people."

Jay bit his lip hard "Why Addy? Did i do something wrong?" Jay asked.

"It's nothing you've done Jay," said Adam. "It's me."

"Maybe we can work it out Addy please..." Jay begged softly.

Adam shook his head. "I don't think so Jay."

Jay bit his lip hard as he eyes started to tear up and he quickly left the room.

Adam sighed and ran a hand trough his hair.

Jay swallowed hard as he let his tear fell before wipeing them away and heading downstairs, he needed a drink.

Adam got up a few minutes later and went down to the bar.

Jay ordered a drink and sat by himself when a guy walked up "Hey whats a pretty one like you doing all by yourself and looking sad for?" he guys asked.

Adam's eyes narrowed as he watched. He didn't want Jay to become victim, and that scumbag was eying Jay like a piece of meat.

Jay shrugged and answered "Boyfriend just left me." The guy smirked to himself and left retuning a few minutes later with two drinks "Here let me get ya a another drink. I'm sorry to hear that, your ex must be a idiot to leave you."

Going after a drink of his own, Adam growled lowly as he passed the scumbag flirting with Jay.

Jay rolled his eyes as Adam growled, he didn't have a say in his life anymore after all he's the one that broke up with him.

"He can do so much better than that," Adam mumbled to himself.

Jay ignored Adam, he tried to listen to the guy next to him, The guy asked Jay if he wanted to go to his room.
